Wii Guitar Hero 5 - Comment 2 people offline play Rockfest competition?

In my Wii Guitar Hero 5, have 2 guitars at home and want to compete against 1 each mode 1 Rockfest. From the main menu I chose the competition, but still want 4 people to compete. Is this not in a way that only 2 people can compete against each other and treat all connection modes of competition momemtum, etc? How?
