Imagine Party Babyz brings the fun of the popular Babyz franchise to the Wii in the form of a play date neither you or your child will soon forget. Reminiscent of earlier releases in the franchise where players nurture individual babies while mothers and fathers are away at work or on errands, Imagine Party Babyz expands on the idea with the twist of placing players in the role of a baby in daycare. Built around a line-up of 30 mini-games that are design to be playable by yourself or in multiplayer mode with up to three additional players, the first task you face is to customize the baby you will be playing as. This consists of the usual options of facial features, eyes, hair, clothing and accessories, etc. From there you are tossed right on the rug as the wacky childcare professional running the daycare you have been left at leads you and the rest of the nursery through a series of baby specific mini-games. Just a few of these are the timelessly slow, racing classic: Red Light, Green Light, which has players wildly shaking the Wii Remote to move their baby forward as the babysitter's back is turned and freezing when he/she turns around; and a takeoff the common giant puzzle game children adore, in which players use the Wii Remote to get their babies to fit pieces in place. My Secret World is the latest in a long line of Imagine games released on the Nintendo DS. The series seems to be only the beginning swarms with more titles than you can, well .... imagine.
In 2007, four Imagine games have been released. I was happy Kitchen, Fashion Designer, Pet Vet and babies. Four sets of a series is quite rare in video games, but developers of the series Imagine, Ubisoft came out hot.
In 2008, they released an almost unbelievable 11 new games for the series. Imagine these titles were, figure skater, Girl Band, Teacher, My Secret World, Babysitters, Baby Club, fashion model, modern dancer, design New York fashion, Champion Rider and Animal Hospital.
Wait, that's not all. Before the end of 2008, the plant to release 7 more. The next 7 tracks are Imagine: Party Babyz, interior designer, designer wedding, gymnast, the film begins, Ballet and Star Fashion Party.
18 games in a series in a year is unprecedented. Even the release of Nintendo title Mario seemingly every second like a game that has not closed this. So imagine how many games being released in a short space of time?
Ubisoft is aimed at the female audience of video games that have been covered until relatively recently. This has not only been a case of game developers are sexist. Many game developers have tried to guide the women's games, but sales have not only been a profitable business.
The Nintendo DS has achieved for the first time to attract an audience divided male and female. This has been the production of games like Nintendogs, which focuses on an issue that is considered less male oriented. Since the Nintendo DS was a success where others do not, Ubisoft has set a goal to capitalize on the proportion of women that many DS owners.
Given that video games are mostly about the adventures and battles, casual gamers tend to be girls more attracted over life and situations. For example, Imagine: Teacher player takes the role of a teacher, rather than lead an army or tombs raids. Other Imagine in the series are not really what they consider a game. My Secret World is more of an interactive magazine with personality test match.
You may ask how high the quality of these games, as many are produced in a short time. The game certainly does not give the appearance of a Job run with attractive and unique interface for each case. The gameplay feels however, shallow and repetitive.
You could say that the collection is based more on Imagine your object, cute graphics, game packaging and advertising campaign. It seems that the series is successful but it has good reviews. Video review site IGN Game Imagine condition: the teachers is the best series and yet rates of only 7.5 out of 10, while others even lower score with Imagine: Rockstar earn only 3.2 out of 10.
