Why is always about new video games or pc games?
Why do so many people care about always getting the newest game and looking at the old video games that came out in 2005 as being to old and not in style anymore. I mean some people shouldn't care if the game is new or old, it matters about how fun the game really is.
People always have to be "in style" - it is our culture. Think of it this way - if someone wore clothing from 2005 all the time, that person probably wouldn't be accepted by the "popular crowd" of people wearing new, 2009 brand clothing.
It's also because older games do not have the "flashy effects" (the ooooh, ahhh value) that newer games have. For example, an NBA game back in 2000 would probably have less effects and would probably look less real than an NBA game from 2008 or 2009. So people probably consider older games "lame" in the sense that they are not as entertaining as newer games.
I know a lot of people who collect old games, though. I still play old games from the 90's, and still find them fun! I also like to keep old games because they're collectibles (as well as a little piece of the past).
So, I agree with you in the sense that it only matters if the game is fun or not, but it is our culture to only have what is brand-new in order to be "cool" and "in style" - and have what is "best".
